AROMA says
Are you outraged by injustice but don't know what to do? New to activism and/or want to get more involved/connected? Want to support new and current activists in solidarity and love?

Activists Recruiting Organizing and Mentoring in Atlanta (AROMA) has activist meet and greets/movement intros every last Thursday, at 7:30pm SHARP.

We will have an Activist Speed-Friending activity, learn more about what it really means to be an activist, and meet some of the folks on the front lines doing the work needed to transform society and transition into a better world!

We'll also have food, water and wine but please feel free to bring some to share, and/or donations and friends. This will be at the Little Five Point Community Center (but for June, July, and August it will be at the Rush Center).

Please invite everyone you think might be interested in becoming an activist, deepening their activism, or supporting all people to become strong leaders in our movements!

Here are the AROMA values, website, including a database of organizations, and an article written by one of our members:

AROMA Values:

1. Cultivating new leaders

2. Connecting, nurturing, and building community for experienced as well as new leaders

3. Intersectionality among groups and people

4. Anti-oppressive stance - fighting all forms of oppression so that we don't reproduce it, challenging ourselves and others, promoting social justice
