Ayr Hosts The Ajc's Kyle Wingfield says
On this Wednesday, May 27, at 7 PM, the Atlanta Young Republicans will host AJC Columnist Kyle Wingfield at our monthly meeting at 5 Seasons Restaurant & Brewery (1000 Marietta Street). We are proud to have the AJC's regular conservative voice join us, and he will give us an educated look at the presidential primaries and the recent GAGOP convention, while enlightening us on policy and allowing time for Q&A.

Kyle Wingfield joined The Atlanta Journal-Constitution as an opinion columnist in May 2009. The move to Georgia was a homecoming for the Dalton native, who spent the previous four and a half years as an editorial-page writer for The Wall Street Journal based in Brussels, Belgium. In Europe, Wingfield wrote editorials and columns about topics including international trade, antitrust cases, the telecommunications and aerospace industries, energy and environmental policy, British politics, and Russia. Prior to that, he worked as a reporter for the Associated Press in Atlanta and Montgomery, Ala., where he wrote about education, courts and general-interest stories.

Wingfield is a 2001 graduate of the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication and the recipient of the college’s John E. Drewry Young Alumnus Award. An Eagle Scout, Wingfield looks forward to becoming involved with a church and community organizations in Atlanta. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and their son.

Bring a friend out for what should be a great night of fun, drinks, and politics. We look forward to showing you why we are Atlanta's premier young professional organization.

As usual, we will begin gathering for a social and networking at 7 p.m., and we will begin our program at 7:30 p.m.
