Join us on June 7 as Emory University’s Juliette Stapanian Apkarian, Associate Professor of Russian and Eastern European Studies, discusses complex relationships between the U.S.A. and U.S.S.R. during the Cold War. Dr. Apkarian will examine the role of cultural exchanges with focus on the context and legacy of the 1959 American National Exhibition in Moscow, a dynamic display of visual culture, commercial production, and technological advancement.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and the lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. The discussion will include a Q + A, so come prepared with questions! Your ticket will include admission to the design conversation, as well as admission into the current exhibition, Make Believe America.
