CELEBRATE THE CENTENARY OF GENERAL RELATIVITY!

Exactly 100 years ago, in November, 1915, Albert Einstein introduced his theory of General Relativity. Dr. Lior Burko, a General Relativity specialist, will offer a short introduction, followed by a free screening of the movie Interstellar, and by a Q&A session. Weather and sighting conditions permitting, we will have telescopes after the Q&A session for some star gazing. The event coincides with Einstein's birthday (and also with Pi Day!). Come and celebrate Einstein's birthday in style!

Before joining GGC Dr. Burko was a researcher with Kip Thorne (the science advisor and executive producer of Interstellar), and has published extensively on black holes, their singularities, and the science related to Interstellar. Be part of commemorating what is considered by many to be the greatest intellectual triumph of Mankind, get answers to your questions about black holes, wormholes, and interstellar travel, and enjoy a great movie!
