Emory Dance Presents: Alumni In Concert

Emory Dance alumnae Elizabeth Dishman (’95) and Christine Suarez (’94) each present evening-length works. Dishman's "Fold Rhapsody" is a series of short meditations that weave futility with delight. The performers move from one encounter to the next, inhabiting a place of tension in which longing can be more solid than what is finally grasped. Suarez’s "Mother." is an absurdly poetic dance theater work that speaks with a joyfully impolite voice about contemporary motherhood. "Mother." is for mature audiences. The content contains occasional cursing and frank discussions of sex. “Fold Rhapsody” will be presented Thursday and Saturday night at 8:00pm and Suarez’s “Mother.” will be presented Friday night at 8:00pm and Saturday at 2:00pm. $15; $12 discount category members; $8 students Purchase tickets from the Arts at Emory Box Office, 404.727.5050 or boxoffice@emory.edu Purchase tickets to any two Alumni Concerts, and each ticket will be $10.
