Introduction To Arduino says
Arduinos are small, easily used, inexpensive devices that can be used to sense and interact with the world, and are widely used by artists, scientists, and hobbyists. This workshop will introduce you to Arduino, walk you through initial or early use of an Arduino, explain basic use of the Arduino and related software, discuss ways in which Arduinos are being used, and provide information about next steps and sources of support.

Earlier Students Have Said...
---
"Fantastic introductory class! It definitely helped me get a good understanding of the Arduino." -- Charlie Skinner

"This was a good class! Moved along at an easy pace and gave solid background info, too!" -- KnowWhere LLC

"Very helpful introduction to the world of arduino! Great choice of kit to go with the class. Thank you, Jud!" -- Matthew Read

"Great way to dip your toes into the Arduino world and practice the basics of its many application potentials."

We will learn:
Arduino UNO board + Arduino IDE (Integrated Development Environment). We will then walk through uploading, running, and changing programs. We will demonstrate that the Arduino can sense the outside world, make decisions, and trigger action back in the oustide world. We will also learn one way an Arduino can communicate with other devices, such as a PC. We will learn about software libraries free for your reuse, and "shields", which can be used to augment an Arduino's hardware.

The class fee is $70, and includes: an Arduino UNO board, a prototyping board, and a great variety of components, including LEDs, buzzers, displays, and related components. You will get to take these home with you!

IMPORTANT AND REQUIRED: A laptop computer with WiFi is required for this meetup, since the IDE must be downloaded and installed. We will do this during the meetup.
