For girls 9-12 and 13-18:
Lotus SEEDs weeklong camps offer girls the opportunity explore dance, culture, music, and their relationships to themselves and others!

Each day will center around a different world cultural dance — students will explore movement and history from Egyptian cane dance and basket dance, Indian classical dance, Russian Roma skirt dance, and American Tribal Style improv dance! This fun and educational immersion will introduce girls to a variety of dance styles and backgrounds with a global focus. No experience required!

Daily Schedule:
*9am Arrival: Morning Poem and Reflection
*9:30am-10:30am: Dance Session #1
*10:45am – 12:00pm: Talking Circle — Discuss self-esteem, self-awareness, self care, nutrition, the benefits of exercise.
*12:00pm-1:00pm: Lunch Break
*1:00pm-2:00pm: Sewing – Students will learn how to create their own dance belt!
*2:00pm – 2:45pm: History & culture studies; dance films
*2:45pm – 3:45pm: Dance Session #2
*3:45pm – 4:00pm: End of Day Circle


**SEEDs: Ages 13-18**
Learn a new dance from a different North African and Eastern country each day plus activities involving that country! Emphasis is placed on building healthy self-esteem and being a global citizen. Each class begins with a cardio-building warm up, followed by a detailed breakdown of each movement, and each class ends with a movement game designed to build performance skills and dance confidence. The movement game transitions the class into a talking circle which allows each girl to find her voice on a variety of topics.
Spring Break Session: April 4th-8th, 9:00 am-4:00pm


**Little SEEDs: Ages 9-12**
Developed for children ages 9-12 this class focuses giving the girls a tour of the North African and Eastern countries plus kinesthetic awareness, building fine and large motor skills, developing a dance vocabulary and maturing each child’s ability to emotionally regulate. All laying the foundation for healthy self-esteem and awareness of being a global citizen. Each class begins with a cardio-building warm up, followed by a detailed breakdown of each movement, and each class ends with a movement game designed to build performance skills and dance confidence. The movement game transitions the class into a talking circle which allows each girl to find her voice on a variety of topics.
