Mad Hatter Tea Party says
Don’t be late for this very important date! We’re throwing a tea party inspired by characters from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and in celebration of The Power of Poison.

Costumes are encouraged!

The Power of Poison, Self-guided tours
10am – 5pm, Special Exhibition Gallery
From fairy tales to modern medicine, the story of poison is surprising at every turn. Be sure to check out the Alice in Wonderland tea party scene to learn more about the “curiouser and curiouser” behavior of the Mad Hatter.

Poison Tic-Tac-Toe
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Play a life-size version of this classic game using poison dart frogs and poison apples.

Puppet Factory with The Center for Puppetry Arts
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Create an Alice in Wonderland-themed puppet of your very own.

Poison Matching Game
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
Match the poison to the legendary story with which it is associated.

Tea Samples
10am – 2pm, Great Hall
We’re adding a splash of southern hospitality to our tea party with free samples of iced tea. (While supplies last.)

The Imperial OPA Circus
10:30am – 1:30pm, Great Hall
Featuring a stilt-walking Queen of Hearts, a ukulele-playing Alice and a roaming Mad Hatter.

Alice in Wonderland Screenings
10:45am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, Auditorium
Lewis Carroll’s beloved story is brought to live in this Disney animated classic.Join Alice’s adventures down the rabbit hole and into the tospy-turvy world of Wonderland. (Rated G; seating is limited.)

Cost: All Mad Hatter Tea Party activities are included with Museum admission and are FREE for members.
