Norman, Is That You? says
A single question changed American pop culture: Norman, Is That You? And even though the hilarious answer is bound up in the Broadway smash of the same name, there is a little bit of Norman in comedies like Ellen, Will & Grace and Modern Family. For when it opened in 1970, Norman, Is That You? was the first play to treat homosexuality in an entirely open and comedic manner, inaugurating a new era of acceptance. Now Out of Box Theatre presents a recently updated version of this classic farce. After his wife ditches him for his own brother, Ben heads to New York to find his adult son Norman. But instead of the reassurance he is seeking, Ben is rocked again when he discovers the truth behind Norman's orientation as well as his son's flamboyant, elitist boyfriend. Patrick Hill directs this exciting new production.
