Historic Oakland Cemetery says
Join Historic Oakland Foundation for the 9th annual Run Like Hell 5K and Run Like Heck 1K on October 15, 2016! The largest cemetery run in the country, Run Like Hell is one of Atlanta’s favorite neighborhood 5K fundraisers.

Run Like Hell is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier, and covers several areas of Oakland Cemetery, including the historic Jewish grounds, Confederate section, new Beaumont Allen Greenhouse, Hogpen Corner, and Knit Mill, as well as the Grant Park neighborhood. All proceeds from Run Like Hell/Run Like Heck benefit Historic Oakland Foundation’s mission to preserve, restore, enhance, and share Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta’s oldest public burial ground.

Walkers, leashed dogs, and strollers are welcome. The race closes out at 1,600 participants, so be sure to register early! Registration closes at midnight on October 11.

New this year is group registration rates for groups of 4+ adults.

Get into the spirit of the season and join the Run Like Hell costume contest! Prizes will be awarded to the most creative costumes in the following categories: Best Adult Male, Best Adult Female, Best Group, Best Child (12 & under), Best Dog
