Somewhere Over The Rainbow The Music Of Harold Arlen says
This concert will feature beloved songs from the American Songbook such as "Over the Rainbow," "Stormy Weather," and "It's Only a Paper Moon." Though his name may be obscure, Harold Arlen's compositions have been celebrated by experts and public alike. A son of a cantor, Harold Arlen left home at 16 and faced many private misfortunes. However, tragic circumstances could not muffle his songs: "Blues in the Night," "My Shining Hour," "Come Rain or Come Shine," and "The Man That Got Away." Arlen saw success over six decades and 400 songs as his music graced bars, speakeasies, the Cotton Club, Broadway, and Hollywood movies.

The concert is presented by Theatrical Outlet.

Join us at 4:00 PM for a pre-concert reception sponsored by Dulcy and Jerry Rosenberg. The concert will begin at 5:00 PM.
