Everyday, 16,000 children die from preventable causes. Almost half of these deaths are children under 5 years old, who suffer from malnutrition. One in four children globally do not get enough to eat on a regular basis and are physically and emotionally stressed from chronic malnourishment. Our relationship to food is complex and complicated. For some, the types and amounts of food eaten lead to obesity. For others, food deserts mean that healthy food choices are not available. Still, hunger is a persistent issue around the globe. We hope to quell these fears and present the truth about navigating nutrition at home and abroad!
