Presented by Donna Shearer and Bob Pledger, Chair and Vice-Chair, Save Georgia's Hemlocks, Inc.
Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 4pm

Georgia’s hemlocks are in danger of total extinction due to a rapidly spreading infestation by the hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA), an invasive insect from Asia with no local natural predator. Hemlocks play an important role in the ecosystem and are much-beloved by many Georgia residents.

Join us to learn more about this keystone species and how you can aid conservation efforts that promise to ensure healthy populations of hemlocks for future generations.

Cost: Free. Space is limited and advance reservations are required at 404.929.6400.*

Presented in celebration of Earth Day.

*Lecture tickets do not include admission to the Museum or to the IMAX® Theatre. Reserved lecture tickets will be available for pick up at the Museum Box Office. Seating for the lecture will begin at 3:45pm.
