National Coalition to Combat Police Terrorism says
The first of a series of town hall meetings organized by the National Coalition to Combat Police Terrorism is scheduled to kick-off on Monday, August 22nd, at 7pm in Atlanta which a series of topics will be discussed among the organizers of the coalition, families of victims and members of the community.

Some of the topics that will be discussed are as follows:

1. Decentralizing law enforcement and gaining community control of police

2. Transforming the grand jury process in police shootings.

3. Implementing a national board to investigate police shootings

4. Building a national United Front

Co-chaired by Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and Former Black Panther Party leader Dhoruba Bin-Wahad, the NCCPT is comprised of grassroots activists, organizations, attorneys and Hip Hop artists. NCCPT is seeking to abolish police occupation and terrorism in the African-American Community and Communities of Color. The NCCPT provides an alternative to some of the current reactionary, reformist, self-appointed and government endorsed leaders that many ordinary people, who experience police terrorism, have become frustrated with.

NCCPT will focus on fundamentally changing the way policing is performed by having community regulated and controlled decentralized policing.
