In 1919 the first Pan-African Congress was organized by the African American thinker and journalist, W.E.B. DuBois. Fifty seven delegates attended representing fifteen countries. Since then, members of the Diaspora have come together to address the issues facing the greater African community.

The 9th Pan-African Congress will feature lectures, workshops, and panel discussions from some of the most distinguished contemporary members of the Diaspora on topics that cover every area of life with the mission of determining the future of Black history.
