An abstract animated film is played with no sound. Musicians are invited to improvise a soundtrack live during the screening.

Animator and artist Christine Wu's first exhibition. A premier screening/performance of her newest animated film. An "animated painting" with unique perspectives of soundtrack and feeling.

With preliminary screening of Christine Wu’s films created during her studies at Pratt Institute, ranging from hand-drawn animation to experimental found footage edits. These works will be accompanied by animated shorts created by friends and colleagues she met during her time in New York.

Also on display: 100 original hand-drawn animation frames, and other fine art drawings/woodblock prints by the artist.

Animator and artist Christine Wu graduated Pratt Institute with a focus in Traditional Animation. Inspired by movements such as abstract expressionism, impressionism, and even prehistoric cave paintings-- she enjoys using mixed media to express her ideas. Interested in illustrating the human spirit across different backgrounds, her exchange experience in Tokyo, Japan further deepened her sense of how we are all connected yet apart.
