The 1990 film "Tremors" (PG-13), starring Kevin Bacon and a pack of ravenous gigantic burrowing worms, is a monster-movie classic. But have you ever wondered if any real animals inspired these fictional worms? Join Fernbank Museum and paleontologist Anthony Martin, author of The Evolution Underground and Dinosaurs without Bones, for a special screening of Tremors, followed by a lively discussion of science related to the film, such as how most animals burrow and the evolution of burrowing. Recommended for ages 13 and up.
