The Festival Village

I reckon everyone should get a ticket to the American Express Festival Village. Firstly, it’s the cheapest ticket you can get, and it comes with complimentary canapés, a cocktail to enjoy under the palms, plus vibey DJs and bands to have a boogie to. You’ll also catch live cooking demos from some of Australia’s best chefs, including Louis Tikaram (Stanley), Jason Barrett (Supernormal), Darren Robertson (Three Blue Ducks), Sarah Pound (Wholesome by Sarah), Ben Cooper (Chin Chin), Alessandro Pavoni (Cibaria) and Marion Grasby. And there will be 40+ food and wine stalls along the waterfront festival site to explore.

When? Saturday, June 13, from 10.30am

While you’re there, be sure to check out Lucio’s Marina and enjoy a delicious seafood-leaning Italian feast right on the Noosa River. If that name rings a bell, Lucio’s was a much-loved part of Sydney's Paddington community for nearly 40 years, and a few years ago Lucio’s son Matteo opened this waterfront beauty.

Somedays Pizza is the spot for banging pizzas and vinos, and if you’re after late-night bites in Noosa, Cibaria Noosa channels Amalfi Coast vibes right on Hastings Street, while Providore on Hastings is a fab café and grocer stocked with fresh fruit, cheese and sauces.

Looking for somewhere to stay? Boasting a stellar location just a few minutes’ walk from the ocean, Halse Lodge is a great pick. With both private rooms and dorms available, it suits all budgets. There’s also a cracking pub and restaurant on site.
