Dreaming of your next holiday? Or let’s be honest – is it just a full-time state of mind? Luckily, your next Aussie adventure doesn’t have to stay a dream. Virgin Australia has just dropped a mega, one-week-only sale, with flights starting from only $49. This comes days after the airline launched its first pet-friendly flight and announced increased carry-on baggage limits (starting February 2026), meaning your furry friends and extra snacks can potentially come along for the ride.

Virgin Australia’s massive sale kicks off today (Monday, October 20), but lasts for just one week, ending at midnight AEST on Monday, October 27. With 2026 just around the corner, this is the perfect chance to get ahead on your new year holiday plans, with travel dates available between January 6, 2026 and September 15, 2026.

So, where can you go? Domestic fares start at just $49 one-way from Sydney to Ballina (Byron Bay). Meanwhile, flights out of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to other dreamy beachside destinations – like the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Whitsundays and Hamilton Island – start from $65 to $135. There are also discounted flights to major cities, like Launceston, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Alice Springs and Uluru.

Dreaming of an overseas escape instead? You can chase the sun in Bali, Vanuatu, Queenstown, Fiji and Samoa, with flights starting from $429 to $669. You can find out more about the Virgin Australia sale here.
