A paradise for shopaholics, ticking off a list of high-street brands and designer favourites. It also features a good choice of dining options
If retail therapy is not your idea of a good day out, the Bullring is probably best avoided. For everyone else, welcome to Brum’s frenetic shopping hub, which has been in its current bedazzling form since 2004.
We struggle to think of high street stores that don’t feature in the Bullring’s 160-strong list of shops and concessions. Destination brands are similarly in no short supply. Names such as Michael Kors, Whistles and Kurt Geiger make happy bedfellows with Bullring behemoth Selfridges. From its forward-thinking food court, to its high-end top floor (complete with champagne bar dahling), Selfridges is that rare thing in the world of retail – a sensory experience, offering booty that you will not see elsewhere in the Midlands or indeed in much of the country.
The Bullring offers late openings, plenty of parking and top-notch public transport links, but is best avoided in December where crowd control is regularly needed to keep the marauding masses moving.
