Voted best bottle shop in England by geek bible ratebeer.com earlier this year, this unassuming shop on a not-especially-pretty stretch of busy Pershore Road is the destination of many a beery pilgrimage, with between 1,400 different bottled and canned beers typically in stock and occasionally as much as 2,500.
Brothers Kal and Jas Kandola preside over shelves sagging with a staggering selection from the world’s most raved-about brewers, including numerous rarities from the US, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and even Spain, some of them directly imported. Even better, a ‘best kept secret’ tasting room in a basic brick outhouse has been open since last year: up to 14 keg beers are served to drink in or take away in reusable growlers. There’s even a mini beer garden.
