Consider yourself a whisky buff? Well, what better way to put that carefully refined palate to the test than by creating your own whisky blend?

This 'aint no underground moonshine making operation, though - it's the work of the knowledgeable people at The Birmingham Whisky Club in conjunction with a global whisky brand.

As the city's only dedicated whisky tasting events company, The Birmingham Whisky Club offers a wide range of tutored tasting evenings, rare whisky nights and food matching events.

On Wednesday November 4, the club is hosting a Blending Masterclass with Chivas Regal, where guests will be taught about a number of blends and single malts by expert Phil Huckle, before making their own bespoke blend to take home.

The evening will be held at the recently opened Indian restaurant Vivaanta and the the ticket price will include a meal. A prize for 'best blend' will also be awarded to the winner decided by Huckle and other experts.

So, if you reckon you can whip up a whisky that will impress your spirit-loving peers – or simply want to make something to get you quietly steaming at home – you can find tickets here.
