Fly off to trainer heaven at Sneaks & Peaks

No longer solely the preserve of man-children with too much expendable income, desperately trying to make up for a childhood spent being told 'No!' every time they pointed their mom in the direction of the Air Max at JD Sports, trainers are big news and big business these days.

Specialist trainer events now frequently happen in most major cities, where traders and sneaker-heads can meet to buy and sell the rarest and most revered editions of their favourite footwear - and here in Brum, we're lucky to be blessed with one of the very best.

Sneaks & Peaks started two years ago and on Saturday March 28 returns to Boxxed Warehouse in Digbeth for its sixth instalment, with two warehouses packed full of thousands of the rarest trainers around, plus music, live graffiti, street food, clothing stalls and loads more to keep you busy.

So, whether you're a die-hard sneaker freak, or you're just keen to make sure you're rocking creps you won't see a hundred other people in next time you walk through the Bullring, then we suggest getting yourself down to Digbeth with a wallet full of cash on March 28.

Below are a bunch of pictures showing some of the best shoes both on sale and on foot during last summer's Sneaks & Peaks.
