Party '50s style at the Rainbow Venues

Forget your fancy electronic music and head back in time to a 1950s rockabilly extravaganza in Digbeth this Friday September 11.

Following a series of sell-out pop parties, event organisers Gin Fizz create evenings that fuse together forgotten art forms, theatre, live music, dance and performing arts to create memorable and authentically themed club nights.

Until recently, most Gin Fizz events have been in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas, but they'll be bringing their night 'The Jump Joint' to Birmingham for the first time on Friday.

Held at Next Door and Spotlight on Lower Trinity Street, modern-day Digbeth will be transformed into what's promised to be a 'rockin' and rolling back street jump joint', complete with food and drink by Digbeth Dining Club, performances by acclaimed burlesque star Talulah Blue, live fire displays, and music from the Broadway Twisters and DJ Tartan Ted.

Choosing to dress for the occasion is optional, but expect swing dresses, zoot suits and kitten heels as all the cool cats get appropriately into the action.
