Time Out says

One of the quirkiest spots in town, selling some of the best coffee

Turn left out of the Custard Factory, you'll find The Old Crown Inn, the oldest pub in Birmingham. When they opened up its coffee club a couple of years ago, we paid attention.

Open bright and early during weekdays, the Coffee Club stands alone from the pub itself with its own entrance and a bold and enticing menu.

This is a place like no other. To sit with a coffee and cake within the wooden panels and beams of this iconic old building is a distinctive, cosy change from the stripped back and industrial vibe of many of the other indies in town.

Beans come courtesy of Winchester Coffee Roasters and the coffee is delivered through a locally made Fracino machine. The espresso based drinks are delivered to a good standard and a fine selection of teas can be found as well.

Coffee and food is largely lower priced that many of their competitors. All sandwiches, cakes and pastries are made in-house and there are also full cooked breakfast options aplenty for those looking for traditional fare. And if you're looking to work, free wifi is available and there are also some power points.
