Time Out says

What’s the vibe?

Tropea is making waves as a modern Italian trattoria and thankfully without a whiff of the British high street interpretation of such restaurants. There’s no red and green branding here - think pops of jewel-toned colours, industrial furniture and pendant lights. These are turned down low at night and the disco gets turned up.

What are the prices like?

The half pasta portions (£11-14.50) are a sensible choice and leave more rooms for small plates (£4-16). Meat and fish will set you back £22-28.

What should I order?

Since everything on the menu sounds delicious, it’s tempting to go for broke. The burrata with strawberry, rocket, roasted pistachio, salt and basil oil is a delight but if we could only choose one, we’d plump for the beef cheek ragu pasta.
