Award-winning director Emma Rice presents this new production of 'Rebecca', adapted from Daphne du Maurier's 1938 novel and performed by Kneehigh theatre company. After the mysterious death of his first wife, Maxim de Winter returns to the estate of Manderley with his new young bride. However, dark memories of Rebecca linger on, and his new wife is determined to uncover the secrets of the house and its unnerving past which are closely guarded by Mrs Danvers the housekeeper. A special event following the Saturday matinee performance (May 2) will see Kneehigh discussing how they've gone about introducing the classic story to a new generation of theatregoers. The play is suitable for children 10+ and tickets should be booked in advance.
