An Introduction to Beekeeping

Join bee enthusiasts, Colin and Ian from the Bournville Beekeepers for a closer look at the busy little stingers. The session is for those wanting to learn more about the process and those considering taking it up themselves. The two men will provide information on the basics of beekeeping, explain the commitment it needs and will also be able to give advice on the types of hive available, where to get the best ones and where to obtain the bees themselves. Attendees will also have the chance to join a live hive inspection at the pair's on-site colony to experience the inner workings of a hive.
