Time Out says

Head down to Brindleyplace on Saturday May 30 for the sixteenth edition of the annual Dragonboat festival, in aid of Cure Leukaemia.

A whopping £100,000 is the target organisers are hoping to reach with the help of Birmingham's residents.

20 teams with ores at the ready will race from Pitcher and Piano at Brindelyplace to The Barclaycard Arena in traditional Chinese longboats. Family-friendly events including live music, craft market and food stalls should keep spectators entertained all day long, too.
