Time Out says

Now in its eleventh year, Vale Fest is a one-day music festival run by students from University of Birmingham, with all proceeds going to the Medic Malawi and Child Poverty Action Group charities.

Taking place on the open space of the University's Vale Village in Edgbaston, there are five spearate stages of music, covering everything from rock to dance, alternative and folk with some big names such as Will And The People and New York Transit Authority, as well as lesser-known local acts.

There's also a comedy tent, food stalls, uni society performances and loads more, with tickets just £10 in advance and £15 on the door.
