Ask anyone from Boston where they grew up, and there's a decent chance they'll have a story about an Italian feast in the North End. Even if you can't remember whether it was San Gennaro, St. Anthony or Fisherman's Feast, you probably remember the music drifting down Hanover Street, paper trays piled with arancini and fried dough, and trying to squeeze through the crowds. San Gennaro Feast brings all of that back for another weekend, filling the neighborhood with live entertainment, Italian specialties and the traditions that have kept these celebrations going for generations. It's part street festival, part family reunion, and one of those Boston weekends that reminds you why the North End still feels unlike anywhere else in the city.
