Zahili Zamora brings her kinetic blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms and contemporary jazz to the open air of the Rose Kennedy Greenway, transforming the park into a crossroads of sound and culture. Her piano work moves fluidly between intricate improvisation and deep, percussive grooves, drawing on her Cuban roots while pushing into new musical territory. The setting itself adds a layer of atmosphere: city energy hums in the background as Zamora’s ensemble fills the space with syncopated melodies and unexpected turns. Listeners gather on the grass, some drawn by the music’s pulse, others by the rare chance to hear a composer who bridges continents with each phrase. The concert is free, but the experience feels rare—a fleeting intersection of artistry, community, and summer twilight in the heart of Boston.
