Despite the gaudy 1950s-style sign out front, this Chinese restaurant-cum-bar - a Harvard institution in an area of vanishing institutions - is slightly lacking in the decor department. But atmosphere? Oh, there's plenty of that. Witness ten medical students crowded around a scorpion bowl, or a gaggle of comedians retelling the jokes they told in the comedy club upstairs, and you'll see that it's the people that make this place such a kick.
