PJs does the Irish pub thing with tasteful restraint. There are no shamrocks on the wall here; instead, a couple of Jack Yeats paintings, a perfectly pulled pint and live music at the weekend create the right vibe. With its intimate size, dark-wood panelling and homely feel, it's the perfect place to grab a beer and watch the world go by through its expansive front windows. Take note: on Tuesdays PJs has a very popular trivia night that can make getting through the door a challenge. On big days for rugby or football, this is the place to be, with the shades drawn and the game on satellite.
