The Alley

This unmarked two-level haunt for bears, cubs and leatherfolk (and the twinks who dig them) is the unofficial torch-bearer of its equally cruisey antecedent, 119 Merrimack. It's a good place to ogle Red Sox players (games are shown on a huge screen), shoot some pool, ignore the bad house music and shake paws with the generally friendly ursine community. Saturday nights bring about the liveliest gatherings.
