Time Out says

Boston's major outdoor venue — the name of which seems to change every few years — is pleasantly located on the waterfront in the ever-buzzing Seaport District. It usually operates from May to October, featuring mainly mainstream rock, pop and R&B acts, with a sprinkling of contemporary newcomers. The pavilion is basically a large, all-seated tent, with an extensive concourse at the rear. Many gig-goers prefer to buy the cheaper concourse tickets, so that they can party at the back.

What’s on

Buju Banton & Stephen Marley

Buju Banton and Stephen Marley bring the Roots and Rhymes Tour to Leader Bank Pavilion, pairing two reggae heavyweights for a summer night on Boston’s waterfront. The lineup has real range: Banton brings the grit and force of dancehall-rooted reggae, while Marley carries the roots tradition with the warmth and musical polish of the Marley family legacy. Together, the show should move between anthems, deeper cuts, and the kind of full-bodied live arrangements that make reggae feel especially suited to an open-air venue. It is also a rare chance to see two artists with very different relationships to Jamaican music share one bill rather than play separate rooms. With the harbor just beyond the stage, the setting gives the night the easy rhythm of a proper summer concert without needing much extra dressing.
