Time Out says

bsmnt is a minimalist, futuristic dance club tucked away in the basement of Boston's W Hotel. This intimate spot, holding only 200 people, prioritizes the music, bringing in both established and emerging global DJs to spin house, techno, breakbeats, garage, and EDM. It's all about a raw, unpolished atmosphere with a focus on great sound, rather than flashy lights.

The vibe: Formerly known as Tunnel, bsmnt truly lives up to its name, feeling like a sleek, underground subway or a futuristic space vessel. The visual appeal comes from its curvy couches, stylish decor, and multi-colored lighting that creates a unique curving effect on the ceiling. Unlike clubs that rely on elaborate light shows, bsmnt keeps lighting effects minimal, putting the spotlight on the powerful sound system. It delivers that raging nightclub feel but on a smaller, more exclusive scale.

Time Out tip: We recommend arriving early to boost your chances of getting in and potentially snagging a cheaper cover charge. Be prepared for a bit of back-and-forth with the bouncers; they can be a tough crowd!
