Cure (CLOSED)

Part of the nightclub family that also includes Venu and Icon, Cure is more lounge than dance club, but that hardly means it’s sedate. The colored ceiling lighting makes it feel like you’re dancing inside a Rubik’s Cube, but the rest of the decor is fascinating in its 19th century anachronism: the space was once a “ladies lounge” and orchestral space to the attached theater (thus the gorgeous hardwood floors and ornate staircase). Wednesday is the club’s weekly gay and lesbian dance party, and weekend nights see DJs come in to keep the party going.
