Part of the nightclub family that also includes Venu and ICON, Cure is more lounge than dance club, but that hardly means it’s sedate. The colored ceiling lighting makes it feel like you’re dancing inside a Rubik’s Cube, but the rest of the decor is fascinating in its 19th century anachronism: the space was once a “ladies’ lounge” and orchestral space to the attached theater (thus the gorgeous hardwood floors and ornate staircase). The headliner is #The4Hundred Fridays, a hip hop and Latin night that sells out every week (book a table, like, now). Wednesday is the club’s weekly gay and lesbian dance party, with super buff male bartenders and drag queens aplenty; #CureSundays is your chance to delay the workweek with fellow denialists.
