The folks behind State Park and Mamaleh’s—both located steps away—opened this restaurant in the former home of their dearly-departed Hungry Mother. Café du Pays focuses on French-Canadian dishes such as poutine, boudin blanc, and a pork-venison meat pie—the kitchen proudly highlights local, seasonal ingredients throughout its menu. The cozy, antique-filled space is a perfect date spot, especially when combined with a foreign film at the nearby Kendall Square Cinema. Don’t leave without grabbing a hard-to-find beer from Quebec at the bar.
