When Dona Habana soft-opened in the summer of 2016, there was little reason to think it would make waves, located as it was in the ground floor of a Hampton’s Inn. But once folks tasted the space’s offerings, they immediately started clamoring for more. Owners and seasoned restaurateurs Hector and Nivia Pina know their way around an alluring decor, starting with the 1950s Chevy embedded into the wall (well, just the front end). But it’s the classic-modern Cuban cuisine that’s the main draw. The well-seasoned pulled pork sandwich is served with a flourish atop an antique Cuban newspaper; the flaming lobster appears tableside actually aflame. The enormous entrees (ropa vieja is a must) are designed to be split and the mojito sampler is what you’ll order to wash all that deliciousness down.

Beautiful decor and restaurant. Got there without a reservation was seated pretty quickly. Ordered water and a soda took 20 mins to receive it and it was warm. Appetizer arrived cold (all we ordered was Yuka), as well as our food wasn't cooked the way we ordered  rice was cold and under cooked and our waitress Valeria was not deserving of 18 % tip she took all 3 of our order wrong and didn't come to check if was ok. Food took too long about 45 mins. Do not recommend it would much rather go else where or just get a better server she was terrible. Didn't complain but will surely never go back there again. BTW Im pregnant and can eat just about anything when I am hungry. Didn't enjoy my meal at all. I would much rather go to El Oriental in Jamaica Plain at least there they make sure they take your order right and is much cheaper
