While Todd English has gone on to become a fully fledged celebrity chef, his tiny pizzeria remains a sentimental favorite. These days it's a tad the worse for wear (chipped paint, torn cushions and all), but its exposed brickwork and copper trim still exude a cozy charm. The pizzas are as distinctive as ever - oblong and free-form, with crusts whose edges snap like crackers and toppings that run the gamut from mushroom purée to mustard aïoli - not to mention that famed, heady fig and balsamic vinegar jam.
