The new flagship Legal Sea Foods complex offers three floors of different dining experiences with sweeping views of Boston Harbor. You can glimpse the oyster-shucking action in the informal first-floor dining room, which has counter seating the length of the semi-open kitchen. Here, the menu focuses on raw bar items, soups, salads, pastas, seafood such as fish and chips, and wood-grilled dishes from swordfish to steaks. The second floor is the epitome of fine dining with an elegant, carpeted room with white tablecloths, reminiscent of a ship’s captain’s quarters. The menu is pricey, offering caviar service, sautéed California abalone and buttered poached lobster. The third floor is reserved for private dining, but has a roof deck and bar with a retractable roof for casual, seasonal noshing on sushi and sandwiches.
