Seaport Pup Sip & Strut gives your dog a better reason to head downtown than another lap around the block. The evening starts with a roughly one-mile walk from The Rocks at Harbor Way, then shifts into a dog-friendly happy hour at Island Creek Oysters Raw Bar. The timing makes sense for late August, when a waterfront stroll is still worth fitting into the week, but the real appeal is the combination of movement and an easy post-walk hang. Dogs get treats, freebies and goodies from local brands including Polkadog and Levain Bakery, while humans get bites and a first canned drink on the house. You don't need to bring a dog to join in, either. Just remember that every pup needs to stay leashed, and this is probably best suited to social dogs who won't mind making a few new friends.
