Flowers have long carried stories of love, grief, resilience, and remembrance. This exhibit explores what happens when those stories are told in ink instead of petals. Botanical Tattoo at the New England Botanic Garden pairs striking photographs of botanical tattoos with floral flash designs from tattoo artists, revealing how plants have become deeply personal symbols etched onto the body. Along the way, visitors can explore the history and symbolism behind many of the featured plants while seeing the creative process from sketch to finished tattoo. The exhibition closes on July 12, making this one of the last opportunities to catch a thoughtful intersection of botanical science, contemporary art, and tattoo culture in bloom.
