Cambridge City Dance Party
Join thousands of Cambridge residents and visitors on Massachusetts Avenue in front of Cambridge City Hall for the City’s Dance Party on June 27 from 5-11p.m. The citywide Dance Party presents this year's theme Revolutionary Reunion – Celebrating 250 Years of Revolution. For the third year in a row, the Dance Party will expand its footprint all the way to Prospect Street and one hour has been added on to the end of the night. Play Streets will kick things off at 5pm on Temple Street for families and people of all ages, and the music will begin at 6pm. The dance extravaganza backed by DJ beats is a special opportunity for the entire Cambridge community to celebrate the beginning of summer. After dark, colorful lights add to the magic of the evening. Originally conceived in 1996 as part of the City of Cambridge’s 150th anniversary celebration, the Dance Party attracts young and old to join in the festivities.
