Time Out says

In the early 20th century, the 64-acre Larz Anderson Park was the private estate of distinguished couple Larz and Isabel Anderson; it was bequeathed to the town of Brookline after the widow's death in 1948. The motorcar-mad couple's collection of vintage vehicles is contained in their former carriage house. The non-profit museum also displays rotating automotive exhibitions, and hosts weekend car shows in the summer, when striking models are displayed on the lawn.
