The Citi Center complex is the big daddy of all Boston theatres, encompassing the enormous 3,600-seat Wang Theatre and the smaller Shubert Theatre across the street. The 1,600-seater Shubert opened in 1910, but the Theatre District's 'Little Princess' was given a multi-million dollar facelift in the mid 1990s. These days, the bill is divided between theatre, music, dance and opera - it's the home of the Boston Lyric Opera.
