Thursdays on the Lawn

Thursdays on the Lawn has become one of Jamaica Plain's favorite weekly traditions, turning the grounds of the historic Loring-Greenough House into an easygoing neighborhood gathering spot every Thursday from June through October. The evening mixes food trucks, live music, a beer garden, local organizations, and plenty of space to picnic, play, or simply catch up with friends. The lineup changes from week to week, so each visit brings a different mix of vendors, activities, and entertainment. Families spread out on the lawn while neighbors linger over dinner, making the event feel more like a standing community ritual than a one-off festival. Set against one of Boston's oldest historic homes, the relaxed outdoor setting offers a welcome break from the pace of the city. It's proof that some of the best summer nights don't need much more than good food, live music, and a patch of grass.
