A prominent member of the Royal West of England Academy for many years, Alfred Stockham was born in London in 1933.
The artist boasts many links to Bristol and neighbouring areas, including former posts as lecturer and head of Fine Art at Bristol Polytechnic (now UWE) and regular involvement at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Now he is currently painting and developing paper collages in his studio at his Portishead home.
