Brisfest returns in May 2015

With details of the main event yet to be confirmed, Brisfest is set to return in style this May. Founded in 2007, Brisfest went on tour in 2014 when its Ashton Court extravaganza took a fallow year, with claims that the event was struggling to balance its books.

Time away from the city saw them taking stages to Boomtown, Shambala and Glastonbury, and they made appearances at inner-city Bristol festivals such as Volkfest and Harbourside. Rubbing shoulders with these goliaths of the trade, Brisfest is now on course for success in 2015.

There's a busy summer ahead for the organisers, who promise further announcements in the not too distant future. For now, check out news of their May events.

Bristol Cider and Sausage Festival, May 2-3, Trinity Centre
There will be no paltry collaborations at this event – the team behind Brisfest are programming the whole damn thing. As the central theme of the event, cider will make a big appearance with over 90 varieties promised. A cider-themed BBQ, raffle and performances have also been confirmed. The event is split into two sessions – 12-6pm and 7pm-12am. For more information and to book tickets, head here.

Rave on Avon, May 16, Stokes Croft
Legendary for its rowdy nights out, Brisfest present the first Rave on Avon event of the year early on May 16. Taking over all manner of clubs, pubs and bars in the Stokes Croft area, the festival warm-up promises to truly encompass the local community. Entry to Rave on Avon is free from 2-6pm and £15 thereafter. Book ahead and save £2.50.
